The carvings at Newgrange, Knowth and Loughcrew appeal to my love of textile design and surface decoration. The marks and motifs are timeless and could easily have been created by a local artist today. Part of the magic is not knowing what they mean. I can see leaves, flowers and shapes from the skies but perhaps they were symbols or names for deities or royalty. 
 
I hope you enjoy this playful interpretation of our ancient artists' work. Each piece is unique, created by hand painting wax and dyes on Irish vintage linen.
